The Rochester Ridgemen compete in the New York Collegiate Baseball League. The NYCBL, founded in 1978, is a summer wood bat league sanctioned by the NCAA and partially funded by Major League Baseball. The league gives college players who have not yet signed a professional contract the opportunity to develop their skills at a higher level of play, gain experience with wood bats, and be evaluated by scouts. The NYCBL is located in scenic Upstate New York.
The Ridgemen play their home games at Basket Road Field in Webster, New York.
Extra Fun Built In
While in Upstate NY, we take time to enjoy the amazing beauty and fun in our backyard. Summer fun includes trips to Lake Ontario, Niagara Falls, The Finger Lakes, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
Host Families
Players are assigned in pairs to an amazing host family. Your host provides you a place to sleep, food for breakfast and a packed lunch, and laundry facilities as needed.
Complete Athlete
To reach the highest levels of success in life, we focus on developing your body, mind and spirit. We achieve this through daily sessions in the gym and on the field with trainers, coaches, and special guests (retired MLB players), community outreach events (Challenger Baseball, Little Leagues), and time in the classroom (with chaplains and business leaders).
